History
Formally located on Devon Street after being established in 1976 as Taranaki’s first genuine ethnic restaurant.
After six years serving great French cuisine, the cafe was relocated to its current position on Brougham Street where they continue to satisfy with their wonderful dishes.
In 1992 the restaurant overflowed into the building next door and now occupies the two oldest commercial buildings in New Plymouth which were built in 1870 and 1876.
For over 30 years Andre L’Escargot has strived to provide the locals and those who come from far and wide with the best service and hospitality.
